‘This location is close to my heart and an area that I have known about for years. And it did not disappoint.’

The Old Vinyl Factory provided a striking backdrop for a young upcoming fashion designer today. Sustainable fashion designer Catherine Hudson used our Hayes site to photograph her ‘Raw Canvas’ menswear collection.
Catherine, who is currently working as an apprentice tailor in London, produces her collections using discontinued fabrics from manufactures and fastenings and components made from natural materials. She says, ‘For my concept I focused on the enduring craft of men’s tailoring, combined with the rebellious Zoot Suits of the 1940′s, but also the colour palette of some Francis Bacon’s most celebrated works.
The Old Vinyl Factory has some beautiful, original Wallis, Gilbert & Partners buildings on site and we’re always pleased when people are as inspired by their beauty as we are. Catherine said, ‘This location is close to my heart and an area that I have known about for years. And it did not disappoint.’
